Tapping Your Way To Abundance

Let’s start a little outside the box…What do you thinkThe #1 Secret to Failure in MLM is? ..Giving Up!! Quitting!! Throwing in the towel; saying you can’t do it; saying yes to your j.o.b!

SO….What is The #1 Secret to SUCCESS IN MLM??

Be Here In A Year, and Vow That Failure is Not an Option!! The only way you can fail at this is if you quit. .You might have heard this before. But it is glossed over way too lightly. People drop like flies in our industry. Did you know that only 3% are making the good money?

We see it over, and over and over. People who join the business, call us and say “I am so excited, I am really going to make a lot of money!!” Do we believe them?  It may sound cruel but- never. They can be the biggest hot-shot.. We  like to say “honk as you’re goin’ by!!” They can have the best story, the best ideas, the best list, etc. But it is all talk, without a few things: COMMITMENT + PERSISTENCE + DETERMINATION + ACTIVITY, ACTIVITY, ACTIVITY

The most  critical ingredient. Secret to Success

by far that you need in your business is COMMITMENT. It’s sorely lacking all around us. Take a good look in your heart and ask your self, “How committed am I to making this work? Will I be doing this a year from now?

It all starts with a DECISION. The root of the word decision means to “cut off from any other possibility” So if you are TRULY COMMITTED, and you decide to make this’s a done deal!! YOU CAN RELAX!! The rest is just foot work!! There is NO other outcome!

But sometimes it doesn’t go so well, and there are bumps in the road. Times can get tough, and people say NO. Negative family and friends get us down.

You have to have Bull Dog Determination when you get in Network Marketing!! If you don’t, the first disappointment that comes along will blow you right out of the business. It’s like this: If you purchase a franchise like a McDonald’s, you are going to invest about a quarter of a million dollars or more. You are going to go through very specific, intensive training, and be given many specialized tools to set up your restaurant exactly like all the other McDonald’s in a systematized way. Do you think that if you open your restaurant, and had a bad first week, or even first month, you would even dream of walking away? Of course not. Yet people do it every day in network marketing, like it’s a throw away. Why do you think it is so easy to walk away from? The cost of entry is low – The price you pay if you walk away is practically nothing – you are only letting one person down usually, yourself, or maybe a spouse, and no premium is put on you quitting!!

What if you HAD TO STICK IT OUT NO MATTER WHAT?? How would you approach your business every day, if you knew you and your family’s LIFE DEPENDED ON IT? I am not kidding. Online marketing business is getting more and more expensive when you add up all the things you need to be successful. So you have some investment. That’s a very good thing!!

Many people in this industry, especially the part-timers (which are the majority of your downline) approach the business like a HOBBY. So guess how it pays them? Like a HOBBY!

True commitment IS the Secret to Success,

application of your time, and investment of your commitment will yield huge benefits. Add to that some tracking and accountability, which changes your daily method of operation from hobby-like, to business-like, and you now have the makings of some real income producing activities! Keep accurate records, and plan your time accordingly. For instance, if you were doing a hobby, you might spend two hours on the internet surfing, and pay no mind to what sites you were on and what you did. For your business, you might pre plan your time and those same two hours, you can record one hour blog syndications, and 30 minutes making videos, 30 minutes following up on friending strategies on Facebook etc. Then you are effectively using your time.

What about actual money making activities? Were any of the afore mentioned money making, or what we call revenue generating? A Money making activity is classified as any activity that progresses your prospect towards a decision for your primary business. There are many, many other activities that circle around and lead up to money making activities, such as social media, blogging, syndicating, advertising, webinars, trainings, video marketing etc. You can generate all the leads in the world, build all the relationships on facebook etc. You can have tons of friends but what are they worth to you if you are not translating them into sales?

So in closing, look down the road to December 16,2013. What will your business look like? What is your commitment level right now? How serious are you about your primary company and completing the goals you set? You can achieve your dreams with an unwavering commitment to yourself and the decision you make to overcome absolutely any obstacle that comes your way. If you are persistent and consistent day in and day out with the money making activities required, and you keep on going….YOU WILL WIN!!! There is no other possibility. Remember, when you ask “What is the Secret to Success…The only way you can fail is if you quit, so just tell yourself right now FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION…I WILL BE HERE IN ONE YEAR!

It’s rare that you get a chance to witness the greatness of your children in a magnitude that goes far beyond that of anything they are required to display in everyday life.
For the past eighteen months, not only have I had the privilege to be the mother of my own children, but I have received the GREATEST gift, by connecting authentically with my step son, in a way I never thought was possible.
Just to give you a little quick background, Larry and I blew up our families when we got divorced.
There’s no nice way to say it. We worked together in the same network marketing organization, and completely connected in every way two people could connect, first as business associates, then very good friends, and eventually as man and wife.
When we got divorced, and got together, the first week we were together we sat down and completed the “Mark Victor Hansen 100 Goals” assignment.
At the very top of the list was to have meaningful, loving relationships with each other’s kids. At the time, our kids hated us..well not us, but what we had done.
Our lives were healed quite quickly as we learned to connect with each other and  process the pain of the divorce.
Ultimately our love for each other was far stronger than anything that could undermine or destroy the love we had with our children, and time space simply took over.
Larry’s oldest son Kevin was married to a wonderful girl named Launi, and they started a family with a baby girl, Bryton Kaye.
Launi being a very professional working woman, worked in Human Resources with Home Depot and eventually as a Store Manager, after a respected 13 year career. Kevin was happy to be the dad caring for baby Bryton, and eventually little girl Bryton.
Kevin and Launi wanted more kids, but something strange began to prevent Launi from getting pregnant, as well as making her feel not well, more and more.
Prior to that time she had complained of headaches, upset stomachs, and all kinds of weird symptoms. Doctors put her on numerous medications, and did some tests, but never suspected anything serious. What’s interesting, is that the thought of a brain tumor crossed Launi’s mind…she actually suspected it.
Doctors as they sometimes do, were dismissive, and just patted her on the head and said “it’s just stress”, handing her some more antidepressants, and anti-anxiety medication.
On June 2,2011, Launi collapsed and was rushed to the local emergency room. After a CT Scan revealed some sort of mass, and she was life flighted to The University Of Utah where we were met by neurosurgeons who said the herniation and swelling in her head was in fact so severe that the situation was grim and if they didn’t perform immediate surgery, she was not going to make it.
She completely surprised doctors by surviving the initial surgery where they performed a crainiectomy and a partial lobectomy. As the hours following surgery passed we began to learn more about the situation she was facing.
They would biopsy the tissue they removed and need to operate again in a few days to remove the brain tumor that had caused all of this to transpire. The nurses and doctors of the ward said they had never seen such a “will to live” in neuro intensive care as that of Launi Morris.
The biopsy came back and we were stunned. It was a large malignant brain tumor, a grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma and the prognosis was not good. Prior to this catastrophe, Launi was the Store Manager of The Home Depot. At 36 years old, she became only the 2nd female store manager in her district and was blowing away her colleagues.
She had a contagious laugh and an enthusiasm that was so fun to be around. She told great stories and was the life of the party.
All of that changed on that gloomy June day. Everything about her personality and character has changed. The wife, mother and friend we once knew is now a shell of her former self trapped in the body of an extremely ill person that now lacks the cognition to understand what has happened.
Because of the steriods, and many medications, as well as a portion of her brain being removed, she became much like a combination between an Alzheimer’s patient and a stubborn young child.
The Temporal lobe controls short term memory, so although Launi could remember everything that happened when she was younger, she would get very frustrated by events just 5 minutes ago, as well as mixing up words in sentences, thoughts and concepts.
She initially received radiation and chemotherapy treatments which have subsequently put the brain tumor into a remission state. It’s not getting bigger, but its not going away. The treatments themselves have been very trying on her body.
She’s suffered major side effects from the medications she needs to take daily to keep the swelling in her head down, and the narcotics to keep the immense pain at bay.
Her immunity has been so compromised that she developed shingles in her eye which became a very serious life-threatening encephalitis. In January of 2012, her condition had become so severe that doctors ordered she be placed in long term nursing care.
At this point, the medical bills have piled up and day to day expenses to care for her husband and 9 year old daughter have mounted.
All the while I have seen my step son have to deal with a situation that nobody would handle gracefully. His wife essentially “left” the day she collapsed and was brought in to surgery. That day, the wife he once knew, along with the LIFE he once KNEW left as well.
He has had to summon up maturity inside himself, and bravery of untold proportions. I honestly don’t know where it’s come from.
Many of the people who vowed to be there for him, slowly walked out on him, one by one by one. For whatever reason, the stark reality of Launi’s illness and mental capacity it too much for most people to handle, so they stay away.
No one comes to visit her anymore, and Kevin is supported solely by the two people who have been by his side since the beginning- my unbelievable daughter Shanna, and his dad Larry, who became Launi’s medical advocate. Launi’s family is somewhat around, but it’s limited, and that’s been their own choice since the beginning.
Their financial situation was so strained they could no longer afford to pay for her COBRA medical insurance premiums and keep their home. At the request and guidance of the nursing home, we began the Medicaid process and that is how medical care has been provided and paid for since.
Medicaid has been a lifesaver and allowed her to reside in the nursing home, however the share of cost to Medicaid is taking every last dime of a limited disability and social security income.
During the time that there was a lapse in coverage between the private insurance and Medicaid, a private balance of over $5000 (other medical bills not included) was incurred for care at the nursing home. At this moment in time her family has no additional resources to pay anything extra.
The nursing home has threatened eviction if this balance isn’t resolved and the family is running out of options. We are trying to get the balance owed to the nursing facility paid as soon as we possibly can.
Launi was a giving person with a very generous spirit. There were many times when she paid bills for her associates out of her own pocket, just so they could survive.
I know that if this were happening to anyone else, Launi would be vital in the effort to help. She used to write positive quotes on Facebook to uplift and inspire others, especially when she was at her worst, because she said it would help her feel better to help someone else…
She said
”Reflect upon and bless all the wondrous times in your life. Give thanks for the many blessings you receive each day. You can connect energetically too those you love, simply feel them inside your heart. Life is beautiful!!’
“Celebrate the miracles that come in every moment within the overall miracle that is your life. And as each moment falls away, there is another one for you to celebrate”.— Ralph Marston

Spoonie Blogs

by limitlesslaura

Spoonie Bloggers are a special breed.

Spoonies are “overcomers” in their daily lives, fighting chronic illness like Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Lyme disease and Arthritis. The Spoon theory was created by the first blogger below, Christine Miserandino, to describe what it’s like to get through the day with a chronic illness, only having “spoons” to use. These bloggers are people who live to uplift and inspire others, give back to their community, and think big.

Spoonies I Salute You!

Blog Title: But You Don’t Look Sick

Author: Christine Miserandino

“The mission of But You Don’t Look is to help everyone with a chronic illness or invisible disability, in order for them to live their lives to the fullest and not feel isolated and alone. We believe that our medical circumstances have put us in a unique and understanding position, so that we can help each other through similar difficult times. We hope the information and community on our site can aid people in leading better lives through knowledge, networking, friendship and most of all support.”

You may (or may n0t have heard the term “Spoonie” and wondered what it is. On the other hand you may feel like you have a kinship with people just like you, in your world,  who understand. Chronic illness can be a very lonely place to be, and Christine Miserandino knowing that, created a theory one day, almost by accident, that unified and validated people who feel so very alone in their daily lives with fibromyalgia, Lupus etc. called “The Spoon Theory“. This theory caught fire everywhere, and the word “SPOONIE” for short was born out of it.

Blog Title: A Lupie Existence

Author: Falanya Curtis

Falanya is not only my friend and business associate, she is a growing leader in the chronic pain community as an inspiration to thousands. Falanya is an example of what is possible when we step outside our comfort zones and believe in something new. She works from her bed on her home based business, and feels empowered every day, because she is making her own money, and building her team. Falanya tells us all the time what she loves is that she can work a little, and sleep a little. Her time is her own, and her internet business is working for her 24/7. She’s a devoted family person, who took care of her mother who also had Lupus and Fibromyalgia and died in 2011. Falanya shared a bond with her mom through their illness, that only we spoonies can truly understand. Her mother fought hard, but was not able to conquer Lupus’s ravages in the end. Falanya dedicates much of her work to her mom, as a legacy. I just LOVE that.

Here’s what Falanya says about her blog A Lupie Existence:

“This blog chronicles the lupie life I’m living right now. For those of you who don’t already know, Lupus sufferers commonly refer to themselves as “Lupies”. Interestingly enough, this painfully crazy disease provides its bearers with some pretty loopy moments and it’s those moments that can lend a little laughter into an otherwise unfunny existence. I prefer to laugh than cry, don’t you? Read on, comment away and please share!

I hope you will take time to visit A Lupie Existence and learn more about Lupus, Falanya’s life and business from her bed. She’s and extraordinary person you can’t live without knowing, truly. To read Falanya’s “Fight Like a Girl” STORY —Go Here

Blog Title: A New Kind Of Normal

“Choosing Hope In spite of Chronic Illness”

   Author: Jamee

A New Kind of Normal

“My name is Jamee and I am a proud YPW (youth pastor’s wife), adoptive mom, blogger, & spoonie. I am also a lover of shopping, flip flops, Disney, & Leroy Jethro Gibbs.his blog began as an outlet during my journey through infertility which grew to encompass not only infertility but my struggle with multiple chronic illnesses, which include endometriosis, fibromyalgia, interstitial cystitis, and Celiac disease.”

I love Jamee’s blog because of the very positive tone she approaches her life with. She has been through multiple struggles finding her way, and learning how to cope with endometriosis, fibromyalgia and celiac disease. Through this whole process, she went through infertility and can offer many resources to women in that regard.

I think my favorite part of Jamee’s blog is the FAITH and love with which she relies on to cope with her sometimes terrible pain and other symptoms. You can tell that she’s a very spiritual person, who has a deep connection to God, her church and serving others. However, like me, and maybe you if you’re one of us spoonies or have been challenged in some way.. Jamee has wrestled with her faith…a common and normal feeling. She and her husband John were blessed with a child through the process of adoption, and this beautiful daughter always brings her back to God, and what’s most important.
